Epimol-B Emollient Creams are formulated with modern skin care ingredients that include Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Cetomacrogol and Glycerin to offer long lasting moisturizing effect on both normal skin and dry skin conditions including Eczema and psoriasis.
Niacinamide is a water soluble form of Vitamin B3 that works with the skin’s natural substances to help repair and restore its barrier functions – Recent studies have suggested that low skin Ceramides levels is a major factor in various skin conditions like atopic dermatitis. Niacinamide has been found to increase epidermal production of skin barrier lipids especially Ceramides as well as barrier layer proteins, leading to enhanced skin barrier function and integrity.
Consistent use of Niacinamide has also been associated with decrease skin hyperpigmentation, promoting collagen production for youthful skin and improving skin hydration by preventing Trans-Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL). Vitamin B3 has also been shown to be a more effective moisturizer than white petrolatum on atopic dry skin
Cetomacrogol is a non-greasy modern moisturizing ingredient used in management of dry skin and related conditions. It works by providing a layer of oil on the skin surface which traps water beneath it preventing excessive evaporating and hence improving the moisture content of the skin, reducing dryness.
